History of Jahan Nama Garden
During the rule of the Al Muzaffar dynasty in Shiraz in the 8th century (Hijri), a verdant garden existed in the northern area of the city, thought to be the present-day Jahan Nama Garden. During the Zandieh dynasty and by the order of Karim Khan himself, fences were created around the Jahan Nama Garden of Shiraz, and by planting trees and building a beautiful mansion in it, it became similar to what we see today. During the period of Karim Khan, this garden was known as “Bagh-e Vakil“. But during the period of Fath Ali Shah Qajar, Vakil Bagh was renamed to Jahan Nama Garden; the name that remains until today and reminds us of its historical greatness.
