Overview

Located in the north of Tehran, Time Museum is held in a Qajar era garden, though its mansion was built almost a century ago. As the name indicates, the museum is home to some clocks, watches, and tools used to indicate the time and date. In the garden of this museum, you can find a couple of first clocks such as a sundial, an hourglass, a water clock, etc. In the mansion, you can see some European clocks from the 18th, 19th, and the 20th centuries. Many of them are made of bronze, however, some gold and silver ones are also exhibited. A number of watches belonging to people like Nasser al-Din Shah of Qajar Dynasty, and some contemporary figures such as Dr. Hessabi (a nuclear physicist) and Mr. Moradi Kermani (a writer) are displayed in this museum as well. Presented in this museum is a collection of interesting collages made from different parts of old watches. Visiting this museum is highly recommended!
