Kerman is the largest province of Iran and hosts one of the country’s natural monuments in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A province with many historical and natural attractions, which holds the record among the provinces of Iran in terms of the number of works registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and has a very high potential in the field of tourism.
The history of human presence in Kerman province goes back thousands of years. Excavations in Jiroft region and some other parts of the province are proof of this issue.
In history, Kerman has been known by different names such as Karmania and Gowashir. Various governments have ruled this land throughout history.
The best season to visit Kerman depends on the purpose of your visit: if you want to visit the historical and natural attractions of this spectacular city in the best weather conditions, you should choose a time between early May and late June. Late September to early October is also a good time to visit this city, because the weather in Kerman is favorable at this time of the year and will not exceed 30 degrees Celsius.
Today we will have a peripheral visit to the Shazdeh Mahan Complex which is located south of Kerman city.
From there, we will drive to Shah Nematollah Vali Shrine. Parts of this mausoleum belong to the Timurid period, and the construction continued until the traces and signs of Qajar architecture can be seen. More development of Shah Nematullah Vali tomb in Mahan Kerman is related to Qajar era.
Next, we will go to Ganj Ali Khan complex and the Vakil's bath located in the city center of Kerman and get to know more about the history of the complex.
