In these ceremonies, they engage in chest-beating (striking their chests with specific movements that symbolize grief), chain-beating (hitting chains on their shoulders with specific movements), drumming (with mournful rhythms), and various other customs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the birthday of the twelfth Shia Imam, Qom residents light the streets with lamps and distribute candy, chocolate and food.<br>Each religious holiday also has its own rituals, such as <strong>Eid al-Adha<\/strong> (sheep sacrifice) and <strong>Eid al-Fitr<\/strong> (the ceremony marking the end of the Shia Muslim fasting month), all of which is honored by the people of Qom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tourist Attractions in Qom<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As mentioned above, Qom has a wide variety of tourist attractions. There is also a seminary called <strong>Madreseh-ye Feyziyeh<\/strong> located within the shrine.
